BLACKWOOD Bill Planner
A 28-day Clean Cash calendar using only studio-published numbers.
This planner exists because BLACKWOOD can end a run with a ledger. The studio’s systems post says a month is four weeks of seven days, bills plus hush money total about 11–13k, you may pay gradually, one miss starts police or loan-shark pressure, and a second miss is a game over. It also says an unmanaged DVD shop earns about $60–$80 a day and a well-run shop can earn $500 or more. Those figures are enough to plan. They are not enough to fake item prices. For the actions behind the high number, read store management. For wallet rules, read dual economy.
The month as 28 days
Use 28 days (7 × 4). If the shipping build uses a different length, we will change the table. Until then:
| Shop style | Daily Clean Cash | 28-day shop total | Versus 12k bill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Autopilot, messy inventory | $70 (midpoint of 60–80) | ~$1,960 | Short by ~$10k |
| Mixed (14 lazy, 14 strong) | $70 / $500 | ~$7,980 | Still short |
| Strong shop most days | $500 | ~$14,000 | Bill covered from shop alone |
| Strong shop, some days off for long missions | $500 × 20 days | ~$10,000 | Needs special-mission Clean Cash or a lower bill month |
The lesson is ugly and useful. Autopilot cannot pay the month. You do not need 28 perfect days if your daily number is truly $500, but you cannot treat the shop as skippable flavour and hope contracts will cover rent. Dirty Cash does not pay rent in the published split.
Pay as you go
You may pay the 11–13k all at once or in slices. A simple Act 1 habit:
- After every strong shop day, park $400–$500 toward the bill before you buy outfits.
- After a contract night, do not convert Dirty Cash into a second unfinished rifle until the Clean Cash buffer is at least half the month.
- If a warning sequence already started, stop cosmetic spending. The second miss is the end of Anton Blackwood for that save.
Relationship spending with Amelie is Clean Cash. It is allowed. It is also how a buffer dies if you treat it like a free cutscene.
Contracts still matter — for the other wallet
Dirty Cash buys rare guns, ammo, illegal mods, and unique takedown items. A night that prints a lot of Dirty Cash is a good night for weapon customization and a neutral night for rent. Logically:
- Use contracts to feed one modular platform, not five.
- Use shop days to feed the bill.
- Use special missions that the studio listed as Clean Cash sources when the shop week went badly.
Side missions return with modifiers. A weapon-restriction night might cost ammo you paid Dirty Cash for. That is a combat budget, not a rent budget. Keep the columns separate on paper if the in-game UI ever tempts you to see “money” as one pile.
A sample week (not a speedrun)
Day 1: restock, price, work the till, short hangout, sleep.
Day 2: morning shop pass, main mission, close, pay a bill slice.
Day 3: shop-focused, Amelie on counter while you sort inventory.
Day 4: side contract, then checkout when you return.
Day 5: shop + civilian gun practice in controls if you are still clumsy.
Day 6: harder contract, no shopping spree.
Day 7: restock heavy, pay another slice, sleep.
That week is a teaching pattern for Getting Started, not a spoiler route. If Act 1’s tutorial locks you out of the shop for a night, resume the pattern the first morning you have control.
What this planner refuses to do
- Invent DVD SKU prices
- Invent black-market gun costs
- Claim Dirty Cash converts at a hidden rate
- Guarantee $500 every time you touch a shelf — the studio said “can,” not “will”
- Replace combat with a spreadsheet
After launch we will add an “observed prices” section. It will be dated. If a patch changes the 11–13k band, the top of this page will say so in the first paragraph, not in a footnote.
If you only remember one line
Two missed months and the thriller is over. Stylish takedowns will not reopen the save. Put Clean Cash on the bill first, then buy the night kit. That is the whole tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can I pay the monthly bill with contract money?
Not according to the published split. Rent and hush money are Clean Cash problems. Contracts print Dirty Cash for the black market.
How many shop days do I need?
Autopilot days cannot cover 11–13k. A string of $500 days can. Mix in special-mission Clean Cash if you take many nights off. Use the table above.
What happens if I miss a payment?
First miss: warning with police or loan sharks. Second miss: game over. Pay gradually if a lump sum is risky.
Where do I learn the shop actions?
On store management. This page is the calendar. That page is the work.
